Illinois; the state that doesn't end

First day of driving in the journey to retrieve Uela. We left a little later than originally planned. I woke up this morning and opened my eyes heard thunder saw lots of rain and lightning out the window, and hear my mom say "i'm not driving in that" so i went back to sleep. woke up a little later, ate some bacon, packed up the truck and left. the weather cleared up and we left.
Illinois is a very long state, i felt like we were in Illinois forever. Very nice rest stops in Illinois, way better than Indiana. There was one by a lake, i saw some guy fishing. Lots of trees and woods, got out and walked a bit.
We waited to eat until we found something better, sought out a Culvers that we never found nd ended up doing the 2 for 20 deal at an empty Applebees in southern Illinois. Eventually we crossed the mighty Mississippi and into Missouri and eventually into Arkansas, which is where we are now, watching Dateline.

We'll be off to Uncle Joe and Aunt Nancy's in the morning.
I'll see if i can post the pictures from the rest area ( they were pretty, yes i took pictures)

Home for the night then OFF

Well I managed to pack all of my stuff into my little focus. Procrastinating until after my last final was not a wise decision. I was over an hour past my original checkout time. Earlier had an econ final, i think it went pretty well, anna and i did the test dance to eye of the tiger for the last time. I felt like i had my moving out skills more together last year. Turned out I left the wrench i needed to re-loft my bed in the pink drawers my mom took the weekend before. We had to search far and wide for something. Thank you clayton for your contribution which i'm sure u are unaware of. Well we got it lofted and eventually I did manage to leave Read for the last time as a resident. It was very sad. I only managed to sell back like 2 of my books, which was also sad. I'm really going to miss everyone in Bloomington over the summer, and living with anna.

anyhoo I hit the open road in my very disorganized and packed focus, later than expected. Got home, ate, watched a bit of baseball with dad. Then unpacked the car, and nothing ends a day of packing and unpacking like more packing. So i packed for the next two weeks.

Tomorrow, mom and I leave whenever it is that we wake up (mom wakes up early) and drive, probably stopping somewhere in arkansas. I'm up for a funfilled day of driving through flat land. YEEEAAAAHHHH! it'll be fun tho, mother daughter bonding time. The TEXAS, FAMILIA and whatnot. Can't wait to see everyone. I will try to keep this updated through the trip.

Let there be a travel blog!, and there was

Hola todos!
Since I am going to be doing a lot of traveling this summer I've decided to make a Summer Travel Blog to keep friends and family updated on my trips and post pictures and whatnot. I'm still at IU at this point, with a break in between finals (only one left!) and thought I might as well start this now so I can start telling everyone.
As you are well aware, immediately after my final I will be going home then mom and I will be off to Texas for the Uela tour.
And of course what you are all more interested in, I will be studying in Salamanca Spain in July and August!
There will be other excursions in between, I'll keep this updated with anything interesting.
I'll be seeing some of you soon
